Arnel Pineda

Arnel Pinda is an Filipino singer and songwriter from the Philippines. He made his name in the Philippines during the 1890s, later, internationally, in 2007, when he became the lead singer of American rock band Journey. Arnel is 54 years old in 2021, he was born Arnel Campaner Pineda on September 5, 1967, in Tondo, Manila, Philippines. Every year, he commemorates his birthday on September 5. His mother passed away in February 2006. After her death, the family was broke. His father was behind six months in the payment of rent and was thus unable to earn a living for his family. So, his father enlisted his family members to aid Arnel. Arnel has three sisters and three brothers: Roderick Pineda; Joselito Pinda, and Russmon Peda. Seeing the condition, Arnel quit school and began to work to alleviate his father's burden. Arnel lived for nearly two years in the streets, sleeping wherever was convenient, be it in parks in the public or on a narrow bench outside the house of a friend. He gathered glass bottles and newspapers and sold the bottles to recyclers. Arnel was also a part-time worker in odd jobs like cleaning scrap metal or docked ships. Cherry Pineda and Arnel are married. The couple was married in the year 2001. The couple has two children together The couple has a daughter (Theachenelle Pineda) and a son (Cherub). Arnel has two more mature children: Matthew and Angelo.
