Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18 the 18th of November, 1985, at Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet school for children in the elementary grades. Felix was a natural athlete and developed a passion for sprinting in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Ten weeks after the first attempt she made, she was ranked 2nd in the 200m race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from high school and signed an agreement for Adidas. In 2004, she began her studies at an institution called the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic medal at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record running 200 meters for 22.18. The youngest participant in the 200-meter race during the World Championships in Helsinki in the year 2005. She won her medal once again in 2007, by beating the long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was a frequent competitor in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She always finished at the top of the podium in the events.
