Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordinand within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix's talent for athletics was evident right from the day she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her first attempt, Felix finished second in the 200 meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix signed a contract for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003, and then enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. Felix's first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics, which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 secs. In 2005, she was the youngest world champion of 200 meters in the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix consistently placed within the top third in each event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
